Tugboat Compiance Systems Software Improvements and Updates

January 31, 2010 · No Comments

At Tugboat Compliance Systems we are currently working on the following software enhancements:

Preventative Maintenance Module

We are going to add a text box for each maintenance task item to allow the input of task related information. This could be anything related to the task. Part numbers, vendor information, or even specific repair specification can be input. The repair notes will be visible in the portal and the desktop software in the 24 hour Engineers Report and on the Preventative Maintenance Report that is printed to the Knowledgebase.

We are also adding an expiration date input option to allow the Preventative Maintenance Module to be used for expiration date tracking. Certifications, Warranties, and equipment that expires like Portable Fire Extinguishers and Flares, can be tracked in this manner.

Corrective Action Module

We are adding a tracking feature to the Corrective Action Module. A company officer will be designated as responsible for tracking any Corrective Action Report (CAR). Once a CAR is submitted it will be tracked until it is submitted as Resolved. The feature allows input of notes and will email out alerts if the CAR goes unresolved for longer than 7 days.

Safety Training Module

We are adding a Safety Training Status Report, which will be similar to the Maintenance Status Report. This will allow filtering by any or all employees and any date range.

Performance Measurement Module

This is a new module that will track safety statistics and issue a report on the following categories:

  • Reportable Injuries
  • Total Lost Time Injuries
  • Total Falls Overboard
  • Total Fatalities

Reports can be filtered by date range and vessel.

Inspection Checklist Builder

This is a new module that allows clients to put together their own checklists with Title and Yes, No or N/A as answer. Any no answer would generate a Corrective Action Report. The module allows Tugboat Compliance Systems to put together default checklists and add them to client’s accounts. The completed checklists would be available from the client’s online portal, or from the desktop software.

Customizable Email Alerts

This is a new module that allows the email alerts within the Tugcomp program to be customized. This module will be used, for example, if a client does not want the GM to receive alerts for all of the program events, how the program is currently set up. The alerts can be changed upon request from a client.

Policies & Procedures Manual Edit

This is a new module that allows clients to download the PPM produced by the Tugcomp program as an editable document. After editing the PPM is then uploaded into the Tugcomp Knowledgebase.

Desktop PDF Creator

This is a new module that allows any of the reports produced on the Tugcomp Desktop program to be saved on the vessel’s computers hard drive. Once saved the documents can be printed for a hard copy record, or sent electronically from the vessel.

These new software enhancements will be up and running by the middle of April 2010.
